The Dhikala zone of the Corbett National Park is located 32 kms from the resort and while we feel a safari here is highly recommended, make sure you book the evening one, so that you can reach the place without much problem (unless you want to wake up really early in the morning). If that seems like too much, you can always head to the Sitabani zone which is closer and is a great place to spot some avian wonders. This zone is open all through the year and also boasts of a temple that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Also, please note that the authorities at Corbett National Park do not offer the permit for the entry into this zone. Instead, Sitabani Forest Department provides the permit for jeep safari in this region, so make sure you plan accordingly.
Another highly recommended activity in the region is angling at the Dabka River (you might need to seek permission for the same). Make sure you pack a picnic from the resort, which you can enjoy here, complete with views of clear sky and birds chirping in and out of trees. If that seems like too much effort, book yourself a mud-pit dinner at the resort, which is a truly unique yet unforgettable way to spend some quality time with your partner (ask your server to serve you dishes, inspired from the local cuisine of the region). In case you are travelling with a larger group, you can always sign up for a bonfire and grill, the ideal way to wrap up a day of adventure & sightseeing.
